    More corn

How is any of that sustainable? I guess just pump that baby dry. Then let the field tile drain it when it does rain because the soil isn’t capable of water retention. No soil aggregate equals no water retention. Field tile is addressing a symptom no different than the government paying out...

    More corn

It’s all out there to read. There is no point in debating you when you have the attitude of know it all. If you don’t know about carbon sequestration in the soil using cover crops and grazing, don’t realize how tillage kills soil, then carry on. Let me guess you were born into a crop operation...

    More corn

I’ll bite. Do you need field tile? Do you graze livestock in a rotation with your grain crops? Do you practice tillage? Corn and bean production have killed rural America’s diversity. Not to mention our health in general. Glyphosate residuals are showing up more and more. Monocultures exist...

    Lauer Polled Shorthorns Dispersion

Commercial type cattle. Good operation. The Rosewood cow family is a good one out there. Can’t believe they are getting out. Maybe it’s just an older cow sale and not a total dispersion. Hate to see that herd go to the wind. I saw the sale on the schedule though as shortybreeder did.

    Cow refusing newborn?

Agreed. 100%. If you can get some milk from momma and rub it on the calf. She will recognize her scent somehow. It’s worked here. Patience is a virtue with this

Agree with no flood 4K years ago. What about 12,600 years ago though? Around that time the oceans were 400 feet lower and a giant ice cap covered half of North America. An impact into that ice sheet could cause a great flood as is evident in Washington and Montana. Randall Carlson has some...

Timing For/Of New Born Calf - Colostrum Supplementation

Calf should be nursing within an hour at most on average. Six hours would be my window. I put the cow in the squeeze chute and milk her.

That’s deep. So it’s a succession? Then the creator isn’t immortal? What’s the point of us then? What purpose do we serve the creator? Heaven must be pretty full these days and hell has to be overflowing. What does the creator get in return for granting us eternal life or eternal damnation ...

That’s not accurate either. Never said I was an atheist. I’ve only questioned the legitimacy of the Bible and other religious doctrines. I think they are just stories that offer life lessons and humans spun them to control the masses. If there is a creator, who created the creator?

No it’s not a banned word. But posting speculation as reality doesn’t do anybody any good. And I just like to mess with you. Interesting spelling of our lord and savior too.

“Somebody told you they were all recycled CYT cattle.” You sound like fake news. My cousin heard from a dude at the bank that the trainer from KU said Les Miles was about to recruit a transfer from Ohio State. Somebody said he’s a recycled QB. Who knows. Might be true. Let’s put it on the...

    Hey

F1 isn’t a mongrel. She had an awesome angus bull for a few years that was thick as a brick. She has a Maine bull now I believe. We bought some steers off her a few years back and I could t believe how steep the hill was her hubby had mowed. Different country that’s for sure. Those steers did...
