About last week I noticed my steer isnt eating like he normally does. I feed hiim at 8am and 7pm come evening feeding there is only about half of it gone. He isnt sick, he just seems not wanting to eat. However in the morning for the next day feeding his dish is licked clean? Any ideas or...

Well I made a steak,pork, and chicken stir fry....didnt want to leave any critters out (lol) however I didnt have any more lamb in the freezer and left the fish for the relgious people, shunning away the walking critters :)

Thanks for the tips and info. We have gone to taking him off the trailer and right on the scale, its a digital one and its been around his taped weight. As long as he is getting big im good with that, I will see his true weight in a few days when we weigh in at the PA beef expo.

Our fields are awful, if you stand long enough you will sink to about mid calf on your leg. We had severe flooding here,going thru our field is run off ditches for water from the road to get to the creek, that ended up flooding right into our barn(indoor pond anyone) its just now gone down but...

I was wondering how long before a weight class should you feed you steer so they look just right?  Also I know with lambs we cut their hay intake before a show so they dont have a hay belly, does this apply to steers too? ???

Wendsday my DB calf was casturated surgically and his horns dug out. Now he isnt eating, he is sucken in and very hippy,however he is eating but has the runs big time. Anyone have suggestions to make him feel better? IO was thinking electrloytes ???
