Apples and oranges.  Full tank is beet pulp, the alfalfa pellets are just dehy alfalfa neither are really an additive just commodities.  The full tank will certainly be the better choice, I don't think the alfalfa pellets would make much of a difference.

My opinion would be to buy a new one, you usually don't save that much money buying a used one and my guess is that most of the people trading in blowers are trading them in because they have seen lots of use and to save $50 wouldn't be worth it to me.

No need to look up your costs for me but if you are running cattle for investors and you feeds cost are $5 a day I don't know how anyone can make any money, it should be a lot closer to a $1 if you are using round numbers.
