is there such a thing like this for wisconsin.  i was just wondering if somthing exsisted where you apply and are awarded a heifer of some breed to raise and breed then after a certain amount of time you return her to the farm you got her from.  like the minnesotas mybep.

well northern WI just got its first snow.  but how will my calves react to it? will they even know whats going on?

if you look at any shows the calves who have been worked with the most act the best. whatever breed you choose if you work with it enough it will be fine

i have heard about putting some rocks in the bottom and keeping fish in there to eat alge and other things growing.  ive heard it works really well, you just have to bring them in for the winter though

its so strange because i have never wanted anything so much in my life. its just everything that i want and i cant figure out why no one is supporting it! all i want to do is show cattle and be with them, ive been facinated with them for most of my life. and no one realises how much these things...

i personally love the shorthorn because there is so much variaty that comes with the breed, no two calves usually look alike! makes for a fun herd.  also they are easily crossed with just about anything.  just pick what you love. and you can always add different breeds or bulls for variety!
