Zilmax has been off the market for awhile. Tyson, Cargill, and JBS have all  came out and said they will not accept cattle being fed Zilmax (not sure about National they might have too). So the statement about the feedlots feeding it would be false. Unless they had a bunch stored up before it...

Just because Tyson is no longer accepting show cattle does not mean the others will stop also. Tyson is just one of the big four (Cargill, JBS, National). I agree a lot of these supplements are just a waste of time and money. I good feeding program will go a lot further than adding all these different supplements. We also always just start everything on finisher. If one is getting too fat you can always adjust but we have had better luck starting...

You will have to do a lot of searching to find one worth showing for $1500. Most of these sales are going to base them at $2000 or $2500 this year. If I am going to put the feed, halter breaking, picturing, commission and advertising into one I would not sell him for $1500 when I could get that...

We will find out here real soon when all the state fairs and majors start happening. It will be interesting to see how these MAB's feed out and hold together. They were doing a ton of winning this winter and spring as prospects. 

Denver, Kansas City, and Louisville allow out of state juniors to show. Now I agree no other State fairs allow out of state juniors.
