I have only seen CC&7 calves and really like them. Most of all he can actually calm down the calves out of EXT cows! Good gainers and have the look as well.

She is sweet. And one would be hard pressed to find one anywhere down here like her. (You might at one of the McCurry operations but it would cost more).

There were a lot fewer Hereford heifers this year. Seemed about the same number of heifers as the year before otherwise. Wasn't that a nice Charolais heifer?

Heifer show took around 3 pm just like last year. Was told (not confirmed) that steer numbers were half of what they were in 2009.

I always laugh when I look at one of those classes where some calves learned to walk a month or two before they were "born."

Wish they would add a speed control so you it wouldn't flip breakers.

Steer numbers seemed to be way down. Is it just the economy? Or something else?

When my son and his steer, leading the class in and pacing his steer perfectly but not going fast enough for the kid that is behind him who continually is poking my son's steer in the butt with the point of his show stick. To the point that finally the steer has had enough and begins jumping...

Traveling 900 miles to a junior show just to end up in the last slot, because that was how my son and his heifer were lined up, after he pulled the top 5 out and saying he didn't have time to place the rest of the 12 head class. Well I had enough time to travel that far and sit there for 5 days...
