I have very limited pasture and only a few head so the price of feed doesn't add up to much. I was just wondering if a pound of feed aday would cause any calving problems.

What does everybody do?  I was told not to feed grain to bred cows.  I only feed about one pound total per head a day. Any advised would be great.

My wife would be interested in some if you have any for sale?

Thanks for the replies.  Do they usually bring more money than a regular auction?  I still dont like the fact that if I purchased one that I would have to make a seperate trip back.

Mendon OH.  Born February 17, 2009.  Won Reserve Champion Fitted Feeder Calf at Mercer County Fair.  Need to sell soon or will look to consign at sale.  Also have twin heifer who is a free martin.

What are the benefits to a private treaty sale?  How does the bidding work?  If I bid $2000 and the next highest bid is $1000, does that mean I over paid by $1000?
