Just wanted an opinion on these calves

The bull does have alot of power.  I;ll see if I can get some pics of the back of these 2 bull calves as they look pretty powerful too, but it's hard to tell from the current pics.

Just wanted an opinion on these calves

Thanks, they're sired by ourlowline  bull Lazy G Beau.  He's doing a good job so far.  We bred our heat seeker daughter to him this spring so are anxious to see what he'll do on clubby cows.

Just wanted an opinion on these calves

We'd just like people to understand that these lowline crosses work well, especially on first-time heifers.  We just wanted to 'put our money where our mouth is', so to speak.  We call the brindle cow Jane, 'cause she's so plain.  And the 2nd cow pictured is Beauty, 'cause she was pretty ugly...

    Recip cows for sale

We have several recip cows for sale, all around 5-6 years old.  All have natural calves at side, born in April & May that we would like to retain.  These cows are easy to handle and have had no breeding problems.  One is a pinzgauer cross, one is a purebred angus, and one is a black commercial...

Just wondering if anyone admits to doing this.......

I used to cut my son's hair with them.  Once in a while I'd nick his ear, which he wasn't happy about.  But that didn't stop him from asking me to cut it again.

    Aluminum stock trailers

We have a 24' Wilson and it's been great, can't tell its there when your pulling it.Got it with the mats and installed the tie rings myself. We went with a riveted trailer after a friend pointed out that they rivet airplanes for a reason (versus welding).!!

That's what I was thinking too!  Knabe, can you restate at a more 'crayon' level?

    Heat Wave females

The 1/2 lowline heifer is not a 'throw-away' (sale barn).  Depending on her birthweight there are lots of mderate framed/low b/w clubby bulls that you can breed her to.  We know a breeder who's breeding fullblood lowlines to Dr Who with no problems.

    EMBRYOS-- fresh or frozen?

our old embryologist freezes everything, though we've had no success getting any of the frozen 3's and 4's to take.  We've implanted fresh 3's and had them take, and we've put a 3 & 4 together and had them take.

    EMBRYOS-- fresh or frozen?

we always do better with fresh.

    Calving ease Red Angus

You'd be surprised at the number of commercial cattlemen that are not afraid to use fullblood lowline bulls!  Alot of the commercial cows are too big and lowline bulls bring that cow size down to a more moderate frame, plus makes the resulting calves much more efficient than their mamas. A guy...

    Calving ease Red Angus

We may sex Bluey semen this year and see how it goes. We're so far away from anyplace that can do it, and we only collect Bluey at home. We've had a few inquiries....just tough to get 'er done.
