    Calving ease Red Angus

CAB - I suspect you haven't seen any fullblood lowline cattle.  We have many cows here that weigh between 1100 & 1300 lbs.  If they were taller they would be considered small to moderate framed females. Lowline cattle are angus, pure and simple.  So breeding a lowline bull is like using a small...

    Calving ease Red Angus

'cause too many people think of lowlines as being 'mini's...and this bull is anything but that!

    Calving ease Red Angus

if you can think outside the box then you may want to consider using this bull.  A couple SP guys saw him in Denver this year and were impressed.  He could be set up better in the front...

Cloning Costs? Does anyone know how much?

There is a difference between breeders and poeple who multiply cattle and hope to get a good one. This is so true!  We've seen alot of this in the lowline breed where people are just trying to get calves on the ground rather than trying to produce quality.

    Hottest new breed

Lowlines have (2) herdbooks; 1 for fullbloods (100% and DNA tested back to the original Australian herd) and 1 for percentages.  The percentage herdbook allowed cattlemen to utilize the lowline genetics on their commercial cattle for low birthweights, downsizing, hybrid vigor, etc.  The...

    Hottest new breed

the lowline cross (red angus, simmi, maines, etc.) are gaining in popularityl. We get alot of inquiries from commercial guys who want to downsize their cattle.  Those 1700+ cows are getting a little too big for some breeders, and they can breed to lowline bulls to downsize in (1) generation.  We...

Try this one on for SIZE....

That would be an interesting cross (lowline and the 'beast').  Maybe they could be called a beast-line.

Help with unwanted birds in the chicken coop

I have covered runs for all my chickens so I don't have to worry about predators, plus they get fresh air all the time.  I don't have a problem with other birds eating their food, though we've got ALOT of crows eating the cattle's grain.  Guess if the cattle don't eat fast enough the grain is...
