Below is a heifer we bought that is sired by No Surprise and was born last May. Pic was taken after spending three days in a trailer. I don't have a new pic of her but will tomorrow, if our county fair is canceled due to weather.

We have a 1990 Barrett that has survived 2 tornadoes. The last tornado flipped the trailer at least 8 times and a quarter mile from where it was parked. The only thing that broke loose was the back swing gate and the trailer had a lean to it that we worked out.

Does anyone follow the suggestions by the Farmers Almanac on when and when not to cut your show calves hair? If you follow the almanacs dates to cut hair and promote hair growth, were the results good or bad?

We haven't gave her a name yet so it would be cool to see some suggestions. I thought of Oreo because that is what I think of when I hear the word doublestuff. Having troubles using MAB in her name.

The plus heifer was sired by MAB and her dam was sired by Doublestuff and born the 5th of April.

I guess so. Just thought since the bull was born in 2010, there would be a few people with a MAB cow. I think I will stay away from MAB heifers for now and stick with the heifers that have proven maternal genetics.
