I agree. I don't think requiring health papers for a county fair is the way to go. At ours the fair staff looks at each animal at weigh in. There is also a vet that will walk the isles just in case he sees something the staff didn't.

ShowCoat here. Regular and Moisturizer. I have used the shampoo but generally just use the two mentioned before.

We typically pay $300-$400 per head to get cattle from CO to CA. Sometimes we get it a bit cheaper but typically thats what it runs us. Hope that helps.

I would agree with Olsen. We have used it at several shows including Denver and it works great.

Agreed. Wade's "Getcha Some" bull was by far the best bull there. I-Believe out of a full sib to "Made to Order" I think he's going to do some great things.

Not trying to high jack the post but "Olson Family Shorthorns" what camera did you use? Those pics are really nice. I have a terrible time trying to get "good" pics. I have a digital camera that we bought a few years ago and I can get better pics with my Iphone 6 than I can with that camera...

I have one in the barn right now that was reserve champion prospect steer at the Nebraska State Fair. I really do like the Safe and Sound calves. Check out Clark Show Cattle out of Oklahoma and Roecker out of Iowa they have quite a few pictures of his calves.

We havent been to this show in a number of years and we are headed that way this year. I cant remember is there a place to tie out at night? Can you build a pen on the side of the trailer like we do at many jackpot shows? I hate leaving cattle in the barn at shows. Thanks for any help.

Most GOOD steer traders acknowledge where the steer came from if or when he wins. If you look at all the blogs, the PULSE.....etc you will see the breeders name listed as "raised by" and then the trader is list as "sold by". 

We charge $150 per head to clip and $150 per head to fit, plus travel expenses if we aren't already there or if they bring the calf to our barn. If they are bought from us it is always free.
