I myself would go w/ the 5day cidr program.  Maybe it is just my cows and the cows I have done for others, but have had more success w/ this program. 

Make sure you have adequate drainage.  If you are raising it 8inches, you will be able to put a 57 stone down around some underdrain to take care of any water coming up.  You could also put down a layer of geofabric and then geogrid w/ a well graded aggregate slightly sloped to keep the area dry.

I was just wondering what most bull stud's extend their semen to.  Do most keep a standard, or do they change to what the owner of the bull requests?  Found an article that most will not pack a straw with less than 20mil's, so that would be 10mils in the straw if you consider better than 50%...
