Is now a good time to buy embryos?

It depends.  There are soooooo many eggs sitting in tanks right now that it seems that they should be cheap, especially with the cost of recipients.  They will keep under LN2 and good genetics are good genetics.  If you want the elite eggs, they are going to cost you and its more of a risk.  I...

Angus and Hereford semen in my tank

Not sure about the Herefords, but the the Angus are all production oriented calving ease bulls.  I would check with Brian Weaver at advantagecattle.com and list all of them there.  None of the Angus will bring high dollars, but should see some demand.

No Worries, I67, Jesse James on Angus Heifers

I would not choose any of these bulls on an Angus heifer unless you  only want one calf from the cow.  Breed your heifer to a calving ease bull and enjoy her later calves.  The heifer has enough to learn without also having to recover from dystocia.

AI'ing and vacinating at same time

I would not stress the cow any more than absolutely necessary at breeding time including vaccinations.

    OCC bulls

In my experience OCC Just Right will take them down a lot, but like anchor, expect some reproduction issues.  They are great if you can get them bred. The calf pictured as my avatar is out of an OCC Legend who breeds back well, but she was not creeped or finished which I think is key in keeping...

    Ohio Senator

I agree completely with skeeter.  OCC Rear End was next to OS at stud and I was more impressed with the Ohlde bull.  The day I was at Hawkeye the two best bulls were Unstoppable and I-80.

    feeding barley

Top dressing malted barley works great to get a calf started or back on feed.  Other than that I have no idea.

    Which bulls on angus cows?

I would be wary of the Walks Alone on angus.  The calves will show great if you can break them.  Call me old fashioned, but I still think Who works the best on angus cows.

Steel Force vs. SAND Ranch Hand

From what I have seen Ranch Hand will suck the guts out of even the biggest belly dragger.

    Bulls for Angus Cows

I have to agree with CAB about WA's calve's dispostitions.  Some can get pretty hot.  I would choose a good simmental bull and reap the rewards.  Sim-angus calves are easy to sell these days and the females make great replacements. I saw Unstoppable at Hawkeye a while back and I was impressed. ...

    Aggressive Cow in Calving Pen

I am guessing that they are too crowded.  Too cold with too much wind for a new born to turn them out today.  Best if you can keep the aggressive cow and her calf seperate from the other cows, even with a make shift gate.  Cold weather calving requires facilities.

    cow is late

+10 days is not uncommon.  The calf will come when it is ready.  Resist the urge to induce unless your vet advices it.

    Creep Feeding

Maybe this is how crop circles happen, cows looking for calves? Seriously, if the calves have too many options to explore they will tend not to venture into the creep feeder.  Try a smaller lot or pasture and I think you will be more successful. I also  place a pan of feed inside the feeder to...

If you are in the South then I agree Red Rock is the bull.  Otherwise, yellow jacket would be my choice.

He has an upset rumen and needs access to long stem hay.  Back him off the show feed, give him long stem hay, gradually increase his show ration.

Magnets are great and I use them on all of my females.  However, they do not work with non-ferrous metals such as aluminum.  I lost a calf this year due to aluminum wire.
