    Angus bulls on heifers

For me the ABS bulls would be either Brilliance or Upgrade. Final product seems to suck the guts out, but adds a ton of length.  Hoover Dam needs your attention as well.

    Silveiras Style 9303

Search the forums, but I believe he is best on clean fronted, heavier muscled females much like his sire.  Regardless, he will work with most females to produce soundness, phenotype and depth.

    Lowrider

The two bulls are "peas in a pod" don't you think?  They have a cool look and should work on those clubby heifers.

    Diamond V Yeast

It's made in Cedar Rapids, IA.  I will check with the local guys about sales in Oregon.  It does work well.  Interesting story was reported a couple years back in the Des Moines Register about Diamond V employees.  The company's  health insurance provider inquired with the company as to why...

    Angus breeding advice

I would stay away from the flush line unless you want some attitude and hard calving.  I would also agree with BS about crossing up too much.  Clubby, yet maternal does not leave too many choices.  I would hope that you would choose something THF and PHAF if possible. For Maine sires I would...

    New Angus Bull

The heifer looks great. She's green, but real purdy and moves out as well as you could ask.  Her sire is sure bred up for the show ring as well.  Hopefully she will power up for the new owner and stay to compete against other IJBBA calves.  I also like the lot 2 and 12 calves.

    Breeding Suggestions

If the heifer is so good, so fine, so excellent, why would you chance a first calf failure and future problems????????  No attitude on my part, just experience. Sorry if I offended you.  Make it easy the first time, let her learn to be a cow and rake in the cash later on.  How may donor heifers...

    Recommended bulls?

Style is NOT first calf heifer acceptable.  He will work for second calf and beyond.  I would use something easier calving or face the consequences.

    Recommended bulls?

Seems like a lot of work (and a lot of risk) to find out is you assume a normal distribution which I doubt if the rumors of HW's birth weight are even remotely correct.

    Breeding Suggestions

I wouldn't as a heifer unless you want repro problems later on. So many want the home run out of a heifer, but most don't realize the impact of first calf dystosia or other first calf repro issues on the life time earnings of a cow.
