we gave a shot of penicillin, B 12 & milked cow & drenched calf. No discoloration of milk but cow has large teats. Will keep on top of it. Red

calf got the bo-se at birth. I've suggested the B12. I'm going to see if I can't get calf on teat to make sure she's nursing. Cow has plenty of milk. thanks so far! Red

nephew is going to give some pnc today. I'm probably a worry wart but I hate to see a calf looking off. Yes, my cows have manure balls!

my last calf is extremely listless & droopy. Hubby said she was sucking on manure balls on the cow & that was a bad sign. She has nursed because the cow's quarters are down. Any thoughts? No temp or snotty nose or cough.

CAB- as long as there is a carrier being bred & passing the defect along you'll have it in the genetic pool. Look at how far back Telos & DL looked at old fullblood bulls that might have started it. Telos- you can probably tell us where you dead ended at. Red

we have a fan cage set-up but no cooler.  :P Unless they're going to be show or sale calves we let mother nature provide the airing. Some would say that there is plenty of wind or hot air here!!!  ;)

I seriously doubt it. They can select judges for their national shows but there are no set rules as far as I know on condition/ ect... Red
