In the past, we have had Don Birk take alot of pictures for us. His request for a background was "blue sky and....more blue sky". He didn't want anything that would disract from the cattle. He also wanted the pen made using wire cattle pens--they keep calves in and are not obtrusive in a photo...

I agree--much easier on the hair, much easier to wash out.

He's probably not the Herf bull I would use on Maine cows --for several reasons, including the fact that Moler semen is $500/straw. There can also be some structural issues, his daughters are not all "real maternal", and they tend to not be easy fleshing cows....
