Stick with what you have been comfortable with. I still use the old square bodied Andis i started with prob 20 years ago.  If you are working with someone who has a different brand/style than you do, ask them to let you try for bit to get a feel.  Do see alot of the 6 speed Andis out there now...

We only leave ours on during the day when they are in. Initially we kept them on 24/7 but had a few that liked to rub them off when turned out at night and i got tired of looking for them. Seemed to work just as good.

Unstoppable would be a good choice especially if she needs powered up a bit. We've hadgood luck with Believe in Me on simm/Angus cows needing power more than anything else.

Use Maine simmi or Angus bulls. You'll get the kind of heifer calves that grow into the kind of cows you're asking for. Breed those cows to clubby bulls if u want show calves. JMO

This is getting to be as confusing as Cunia 602 or My Turn. This sounds like a case for Judge Judy...she ain't afraid to ask " Who be the babies momma daddy?"

If both mommas are feeding the calves I'd just let them go. Some cows won't even claim their own calves let alone anothers. Wouldn't try to fix a problem that's not there.

Is his behavior otherwise normal Stan? Nurses, follows mom and other calves? Could be anything from fluid in his ear to stiif/sore neck from birthing.
