It runs around $100 for 50lbs of Epic here. We use a full tank copy feed called full body, made by a local mill, runs about $12 for 50lbs, has the exact same ingredients.

He's a BC Lookout on a Almost Famous/WMW cow. He's registered Chi and 3/4 Angus by pedigree. This is his first calf crop and so far we are very pleased. The calves have come a little bigger than we like but I think they've been worth it.

Don't feed silage to your show calves. They only need a good coarse grass hay. I would use rolled or cracked corn in your feed ration. Steam flaked is the better but it is more expensive and sometimes hard to come by. If you have access to corn silage I would feed it to your cows. If you are...

We put fly tags in both ears at the beginning of each summer, so we're always putting new ones in anyway. By next summer half of them are gone, doesn't matter what brand. Even the RFID tags come out every once and a while.

I've got a cow that is a better heat checker than any bull I've ever seen. The bull usually has to knock her off to get it done. You're more than welcome to her. Would not work on heifers because she weighs 2000+. She's located in north central IN.
