we had those flakes once. they work great for the horses, sheep, swine, etc, but not for cattle. when the flakes are that big, they don't pack nor do they hold moisture. our cedar fiber comes from a place in texas, but we have it shipped to an ag store near us.

ours doesn't either, as in permanent tie outs. but we can't even go to our trailer. at night we walk around our small showring 15-20 times. in the morning we let the calves loose in the outside sand horse arena for 20-30 minutes. they love it. the calves run, buck, kick, play and do hot laps...

it depends. i like the cedar fiber, because it stays wet forever, and pack like a rock. wood chips or wood shavings?? some people call them the same thing. chips may pack decently, but they can get too big and may not stay wet. shavings can pack better, but they suck at staying wet. again...
