    BCS what?

Jeff- You're also picking and choosing which stats you choose to pay attention to. Yes, Alabama is a very good team. No doubt one of the best college defenses...EVER (at least in the last 25 years). But the argument that was originally posted is....Alabama got a mulligan, so why shouldn't...

    BCS what?

Really? You would want to fire a guy that went undefeated during the regular season and loses the National Title Game?? Come on....who would you get to replace him? I bet the line would be shorter than you think. That's like the idiot sooner fans around here that wanted Stoops, Venables, and...

    BCS what?

Jeff- no apology necessary. We arguing valid points; so is everyone else on here. Nothing wrong with that at all. I do however think that people discount the talent of defense, when they happen to run against fast paced "Air-Raid" (I hate that term) offenses (such as several Big XII teams), but...

    BCS what?

Why are you pulling A&M into this? That program was in freefall this year. Also, maybe I'm biased, but I think oSu is a little bit better of an offensive team than WVU. The only reason I brought them up, was that they run the EXACT spread-type offense that oSu does. Sure they had trouble. WVU's...

    BCS what?

Yes, they lost the game. Yes, they lost it by 3+ touchdowns. Turnovers are part of being an opportunistic defense. You don't have to tell me that. Look who the leader for turnovers forced was this season. But, you also have to agree that oSu's offense is light years ahead of Alabama's. Alabama...

    BCS what?

LSU played West Virginia on Sep. 24th. The West Virginia offensive players were not real familiar with that system (Dana Hogerson, WVU coach was oSu's offensive coordinator a year ago), leading to 4 turnovers by the Mountaineers, and there was also a kickoff return by LSU for a touchdown. WVU...

    BCS what?

Let me start out by saying that I'm a life-long oSu fan. No doubt the 2 best defenses were playing last night. But at what point do you have to think about some offensive ineptitude? Alabama was able to move the ball because they spread it around. LSU did the typical Les Miles thing. The kept...

    Feed Consumption

Not a better place to be on game day!! <rock> The good thing about having my own made, is that I know it's fresh. But, with Purina, the dealer that I've been talking to said that he tries to order once or twice a month, and then goes to the mill in OKC, and picks it up there. I would think that...

    Feed Consumption

No, I haven't had any made down there. For the last 3 years, I've used Two Rivers Co-op out of Arkansas City, KS.

    Feed Consumption

AAOK, after looking at that link (thank you by the way), that has basically the same chelated minerals that the Essential Beef Designer does. The reason I have been going with Essential, is I have a local dealer for them, where as Moorman's; I would have to drive several miles to get that...

    Feed Consumption

The Essential mineral is basically $1.00/pound. I feed 1/2 pound per head/day.

    Feed Consumption

Sorry, I should have stated that better. The conversion would be better, which means less feed per pound of gain, which is what we all want. But, I also think it's much cheaper to push one, than hold him, but that's another subject. Has anyone on here fed something else, and then switched to...

    Feed Consumption

I am having a finisher ration made by a local grain company that we use year-around for my kids show steers. Right now it is costing me $440.00/ton bagged. I add Essential Beef Designer to it for 1/2 pound per calf per day. I was talking to a Purina rep about a month ago who was telling me that...

    Animal Chiropractors

Dr. Gene Bledsoe from Bristow, OK. He's on here from time to time, so I hope he doesn't mind me posting his number. (918) 605-1900. He does a great job, and is a great guy!! I used him this past summer, and would not hesitate to use him again.

why not post prices? this is crazy

I can see both sides of the coin as far as the cattle go. Frankly, it's the busines of the buyer and seller, and nobody else, unless one or the other decides to tell. There again, that's their decision. Now when you get to equipment, that seems absolutely ridiculous to not put a price. We all...

Dakota....If you keep him as a bull, I have an idea for his name....Hugh Jazz!! <rock>

    Leroy Brown

Well thank you Jerrod. You're far too kind. Like I said, when we bought him, I thought he was "just another steer". The guy I bought him from told me to take him home, feed him right, and good things could happen. He was right!! If you still have my phone number, call me when you guys make it...

    Help!!

Long story here, but I'll keep it as short as possible. Last weekend we took our steers to get hooves trimmed. We also took a friend and his boy along with their heifer. When we got there, the heifer needed to be haltered, so my son (10 years old, 70 pounds soaking wet), my friend, and his son...

    Leroy Brown

I forgot about that. I have heard that too. My daughter's steer last year wasn't a COMPLETE idiot, but he definitely wanted to be in control. This guy is pretty calm. Both steers that she's shown, from the shoulders forward would be where you'd want to change them.
