How much are judges this year discounting animals that can't walk? Seems like I've seen a bunch of cattle lately that look really good when they're standing still, but when you get them on the move, they are FAR from fluid in their movement. It's almost like they see a big butt and pretty neck...

Lots and lots of things going on this fall, or else we would have shown at NOC, and go on to Perry. I honestly don't think we will make it to a show before the AGR, or possibly even into January.

Josh- IMO you can't have too much cushion on your trailer floor. Shavings are cheap. Lame cattle are not. I'm thinking about trying the stuff that's on the cool room floor about 8" deep in my trailer on top of the rubber mats.

I'm thinking about cutting him back to 8lbs of finisher, and about 3/4 of one of those scoops of beet pulp shreds twice daily along with 3 ounces of liquid fat, and then weigh him in 30 days to see where we are, and then maybe adjust again at that time.
