    Looking for used chute

I am looking for a used 7' aluminum chute (preferrably Sullivan's). I would imagine it would be pretty expensive to ship, so it needs to be relatively close, so I can pick it up. Located in Oklahoma. Thanks

    OYE Judge

He's sound as a cat, but just big. Lots and lots of bone and hair. I hope to have him showing at 1380-1400. Do they show by weight or hip height? I haven't measured him, but he's probably 55 1/2-56 inches tall.

    OYE Judge

Thanks AAOK, once again you come through. Any chance I could talk you into moving up here around Enid????? ;D I had been crying the blues for the last couple of months about the size of my daughter's steer, but after talking with my former ag teacher the other day, he told me that the grand...

    OYE Judge

Anybody ever competed or watched a show that Jack Ward from Plattsburgh, MO has judged. He's judging the steer show at the Oklahoma Youth Expo this year, and I was wondering what he might like (lots of frame, and muscle I hope!!!)

    n/c college football

If Tuberville doesn't keep that same wide open offens, look for tech fans to help him pack!! Texas Tech eliminated their whole identity when they fired Leach. In 2008, I went to Lubbock to watch my team play them. You wouldn't believe how many people dressed up like pirates there. They loved him...

What's your policy on selling calves ot of state?

That's all fine and good, if you are making the deal with another adult (over 18), but if it's with a minor.....you're stuck. I'm not a breeder, my kids just show steers. I WILL NOT even offer money on a calf unless I am serious enough to write a check for him then and there. My main problem...

    OKC Reining Futurity

I think the OKC Thunder are playing in town this weekend. Also the Murrah Bombing Memorial is a "must see" in my opinion. The Cowboy Hall of Fame is a fun place to go to (I35 & I44 jct.). Lots of neat stores at the stockyards, and go get a steak at the Cattleman's Cafe. Bricktown is mainly the...

OU Football fans, is Stoops headed to ND?

I think you're right TMJ. He will stay there until he gets tired of it. He's already had the chance to go back to Florida twice, Iowa once, and the Cleveland Browns once. He turned them all down to stay at ou. That being said, I don't think the Gaylord family could out-bid the Vatican!!!!

OU Football fans, is Stoops headed to ND?

With all due respect BJK, you are wrong on at least one of those counts. First of all, you should have a source on this contract deal, other than just saying that "ND is reportedly offering 24 mil for 8 years".  As far as what denomination he is, in 2007, I, as well as other adults (including...

OU Football fans, is Stoops headed to ND?

Believe me, I would love to see Stoops, Leach, and Mack Brown leave the Big 12 south in that order. I will preface this by saying that I don't think Stoops will leave, even though he could probably make more money than he even makes in Norman. The only thing that would make it worth thinking...

    Trip Suggestions

The Oklahoma youth expo is right around that time. It is proclaimed as "the world's largest junor livestock show". Just google "OYE" and you should be able to find the website. There is a calendar on there to tell you when everything is going on.

Swine flu spotted in the flesh (nc but funny)

KCK, I feel your pain. The bright spot of that whole deal on Saturday was getting to meet Walt Garrison, and my son getting to try on his Super Bowl ring. You have to admit though, throughout the fist 20-25 minutes of that game was the most electric that I have ever witnissed in that stadium as...

I have to show off N/C

On halloween, we (my wife, son and I) were in Stillwater for the oSu/Texas game. My daughter wanted to go stay with a friend that night so she could trick-or-treat here in town. Anyway, the university had put out a release asking people to bring candy so kids could trick-or-treat at tailgates...

    Stierwalt wins number 5

I couldn't agree more Jerrod. Persistence and knowledge are priceless. Hard work and drive are the basis for showing cattle. The old saying of "you get out of it what you put into it" could not be more true. I preach this to my kids all the time, and not just for showing cattle, but for...

    Question for the Texans N/C

Just thought I'd let you guys know, we left home Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. We stopped in OKC at noon and had a bite to eat. We then continued south. Hit Denton at right about 4:00 p.m. It then took us an hour and a half to make it to the south side of Ft. Worth. Stop and go...stop and go. >:(...

    shows?

Not in Kansas, but there are a couple of shows close to there coming up. On Nov. 7th there is a jackpot in Tonkawa, put on by the ag dept. of Northern Oklahoma College, and on Dec. 12th, the AGR Winter Bonanza is going on in Stillwater. We are planning on going to both of these.

    Pelini

I'm one every weekend ;) Texas is favored by 9 1/2. Too bad we won't have Dez. We might have a shot at them. But to look at the positive......I haven't lost a tailgate party yet!!! Bevo steaks and cold beer at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday outside the stadium.

    Question for the Texans N/C

I was just kidding ;).....too early to try to cipher through all the calves right now anyway, and I'm sure my wife and kids wouldn't want to spend time in Texas looking at club calves for next year in the middle of October.
