    Just had a calf out of heatwave heifer this morning, still cleaning her off as we speak has good bag and cow had calf within 20 min of me being out there didnt see it happen a 60lb unassisted calf sired by tiny tim.

    Not starting off good here in Iowa I leave for denver this mornin went out to check cows about 4.30 angus cow moowin like crazy she isnt due for month in a half so I go over anyways remembering she was bagging for some reason night before.. her calf lying there in the hay primature and no hair...

    didnt remember seeing much go in that 900 price... they were going in as choice with 3 head maybe some of the 3rd picks did... we got a 4 year old heatwave bred carnac.

    But they got rid of the 4 year old because they had a total dispersal... so you would think they wouldnt have kept for four years if troubles milking.

    I have a HW heifer bred to tiny tim... I had her pelvis measure last month she can stand having a 75lb calf.. I think she will do ok and shes still 2 weeks out of calving and starting to make a bag so hoping for the best. Also went to the drury sale yesterday and picked up a 4 year old hw cow...

    I like my bradford built bed on my dually, they do make a single wheel bed to that seems pretty nice!

    I dont know much about the NRCS rules just herd someone talking big about it here in central Iowa... when we seeded grass this past spring we put oats in too and green cut the oats real good winter feed and then get a late fall pasture..

    Feed storage

    My kent feed dealer gets it delivered bulk to him puts it in bulk seed boxes I take mineral tubs up and can get 150lbs in each tub. We have a bulk bin but almost as easy to just get it this way.

    Fall 09 Bull Calf

    Thats kinda what I was thinking little sloppy fronted but Im pretty amazed by his growth with out feed... He is a 3/4 lowline sired by SPCR Tequila PO6. Out of a 1/2 blood lowline angus cross cow, that was sired by ALM Clout [she is in the background of third picture]

    Posting some pics of a fall 09 bull calf, just some rough pictures not clipped up... Hairy little guy! what are your thoughts, he is an aug 09 calf and has only been on creep feed for two days. Matt
