She looks real nice!  Keep us posted as she develops...  How have the birthweights been on your Style calves, and did you breed any heifers to him??

    Steele's sale

My thoughts were his birthweight and epd for birth would make him hard to market...to either the purebred or clubby circles.  Lot of money paid, so they must have a plan!  ;D

    Steele's sale

Brent...did you see the bull at anytime?  Just wondering how he looked.  I skipped right over him in the sale catalog...didn't have the performance and epd's to look closer.  I didn't realize he was the full sib to those others however...

    10 day old calf bloated

We had the same thing happen in Feb to a 10 day old hfr calf...not sure why, but she was picking at some leafy hay in the round bale feeder.  I was told by our vet not to tube one that young, since they don't have a functioning rumen at that age, and things are actually routed a little...

    Ful sib to Plainview Lutton

I really liked Alternative too!  If it wasn't for the 1.77%, I could use him in my herd as well.  Just haven't seen a purebred Lut son anywhere that's surfaced to replace him.

    Maine Anjou------What's up?

Apparently all the commercial bull buyers were at the IA Angus expo sale, and spent all their money earlier in the day!  It was crazy the way they sold those bulls.  Congrats to the IA Angus consignors on a great sale!

    Limestone Darkhorse!

We've got 2 Limestone Dark Horse bulls in the sale pen.  They were bigger at birth, but also 8 days overdue to some bigger cows.  Wouldn't recommend him on heifers.  The bulls got some growth, but are in a moderate frame.  They have a ton of rib, and good muscle.  Just adequate in their front...

    Monopoly Clones

While I'm no expert on clones, I'm pretty sure that genetically they are the exact same thing as the original!  The only difference in the pics you are looking at are differences in environment, care, fitting, or even a camera angle.  Amongst many other differences that don't affect the genes...
