    March Alias x Heatwave/Traveler 6807 smokey heifer

This is the best one we've had in a while.  She is a March 23, Alias out of a Heatwave/ 6807 cow.  We just weaned her last weekend,  she's done it all on her own.  Hairy and sound with eye catching color to go with it.  She will be gentle enough for a first time showman and her dam is our best...

Fall born 2009 Milkman steer SOLD

September 2009 Milkman x California Traveler angus cow, steer for sale.  I had intended for my daughter to show this steer but she is just turning 9 years old and I've come to the conclusion that its a little too soon for her to start showing.  The calf is plenty gentle she can rinse and brush...

Looking for steer born last fall

I've got a September Milkman out of an Angus cow.  He's been under fans getting rinsed everyday.  He's a good solid calf, gentle and an easy keeper but my daughter is scared of him. She can rinse and brush him but she's scared to lead him and I think we should just wait and give her a year or 2...

Looking for a left over steer

We have a September born Milkman out of an angus cow.  He's pretty good and would classify angus in Oklahoma, not sure about Texas.  I got him for my daughter who is almost 9, but she is scared of him and rather than have her first experience be a bad one I think its best we sell him and wait a...

    For the electrical gurus

The only way to have a 240 volt service is by using 1 breaker off of each hot leg.  There is no other way than by using 2 breakers.  What he means by running in parallel is he has 2 120 volt services from the 240 volt plug.

    Lowline X Clubby genetics

We put fullblood lowline embryos in our fall calving replacement heifers last fall.  2 of the heifers have already calved and we had great luck other than both calves are bulls and we wanted heifers.  I also have a few of my spring calving replacement heifers bred to our fullblood bull.

Steer shown with a bull lead.

I had a steer when I was a junior in high school that I keep from getting away from me.  He got away from me every single time I had him out and I had been showing for several years at that time.  My dad made me a halter with a round metal nose piece and then a chain going back up behind his...

    Can't wait till fall.

Yes we do eat the hogs unless its a big boar like the one chambero killed.  I doubt there would be much of a market to sell the meat from a wild hog and they don't have as much meat as a market hog.  They aren't too bad tasting it just all depends on what they've been eating.  They can have 3...

    Can't wait till fall.

I stay ready for deer season all year long!  We are over run with hogs and see more of them than deer so this weekend I bought me a lever action 450 Marlin for up close hog hunting in the brush. I don't think they will go far after getting hit with on of those 325 grain bullets.  During bow...

    Leg Hair

An old trick for growing leg hair is to use pure lard on the legs after rinsing and then brushing with a rice root brush or roto brush.  Be sure to use a little fly spray afterwards because the lard will atract flies.
