    photo editers

unfortunately I don't, this is actually the photo that was used when I purchased her. I was hoping there was a way to sharpen the image but we may just have to run with it.

    photo editers

any recommendations for someone who can edit a photo, I need to have the blur taken out of it for a catalog. I attached the photo. Shes off getting her embryos collected so I'm not able to take a new photo.

Believe In Me, Hired Man, Hard Whiskey, I80, unstoppable

Ill be honest here, and we run a vary diverse herd of cattle (Maines, Simmentals, Shorthorns, Murray Grays, and a a few Angus in the mix) It takes a real good cow to produce a club calf worth anything. They are terminal, not a single one of those bulls will really improve udder quality on her...

    flushing

I have flushed a few heifers and all have had good results 8+ save for one but that turned out to be a bad batch of semen. IF I have a particular heifer who was a standout Ill have her flushed before breeding in case she runs into calving issues. Personally I rather have the choice of tossing...

What are the best genetic and non-genetic decisions that you've implemented?

1.) Concept aid. 2.) Utilizing ET much more extensively then I have in the past. This would include flushing my own cattle, as well as purchased embryos. 3.) I adapted a high cull rate years ago based on temperment and quality. Glad I did. Love that I have repeat buyers based on quality, but...

    Breech calf

I'm not sure exactly causes them but I'm statting to consider myself a pro at dealing with them. I have had a lot of them in a vary moderate size herd (around 15 to calf each year) and had 6 or 7 come that way in some given years. We do this as a hobby, and have a menagerie of breeds thus use...

    I Da Man

I knew about the who da man temperments. I like the calves, super flashy and just plain good. My luck has been that they have all been really tough including one that has been shown since she was 3 months at the side of her dam then as a prospect. Went to blow her out and she tore apart the...

    I Da Man

Has anyone had issues with the temperments on his calves? I had a few and all of them seem to be nut jobs...not sure if it was the wrong combination and I'm hoping it's that as I do like his calves but wow...I thought my BIM where tough. Had one out of a bloodline that's had 20 calves for me...

    Calf with bad knees

I had one born a few years ago that had a hind leg that bent to the outside in a near perfect angle. The vet said to put her down, but she was a little fighter so I wouldn't throw in the towel on her. She came back enough to be shown for the kid I gave her too and did well, plus became a good...

Do you think my calf had TH

I bought a female years ago who's pedagree was free of TH. However on a hunch I had the cow tested and she was a carrier....so obviously not the breeding said on paper. I lucked out considering her daughter was bred to a TH bull and she herself was a carrier as well, thankfully the calf came out...

    When is it considered overkill?

This is what I find the worse about cattle shows, that people care what others are paying. Honestly, its no ones business, someones going to have a more expensive house, a more expensive car, or in this case a cow. The sad part is the rumors that spread about it. I have had the privilege of...

    Matt Lautner question

I disagree I asked matt if he knew of a steer mid way threw as ours was injured an wasn't going to come back from it. He posted that search on his blog and within two days we had a replacement for a vary hard working and sad 11 yr old girl who was able to atleast attend a couple local shows . He...

Captivating and Stunning Eyes on Heifer

I had one like that going back a long time ago, great heifer who did really well for us. However we where at a local show, the judge placed her last because "Her eyes gave him the creeps." Which to this day is one of the funniest reasoning I've ever heard.

    some questions about gucci

He's personally one of my favorite bulls, I have Nad no issues calving them out of first calf heifers, but, I would use with caution  (same lines as I-80)  temperments have also been great on them. We had a smoke steer sired by him a few years ago that was sound from start to finish. I Find he...

    Have you ever seen this?

Several things can cause it to happen, another cow stepped on its tail and when it stood up, snap. Frostbite, or even a tick bite can cause it.
