    I've never heard of it nor tried it obviously but it seems like it would be used as a buffer for the rumen making it more basic. A lot of people feed Sodium Bicarbonate to cattle to accomplish this.

    If you want to do leg work and study a pile of genetics there are some very good buys available. Ck with embryo centers to see who may have embryos for sale. Know the genetics well enough so that you know a bargain when offered. Search the Angus website for available embryos.

    You need to have him eat as much as possible every day. An April 2019 born calf can make it easily enough by July 2020 but it needs to do all he can do every day.
