Proof the show ring is still screwing things up.

A new restaurant opened up in our hometown about a year ago and serves nothing but Pied. meat. Their beef items are very, very good. the name of the restaurant is The Primrose in Corning, Iowa for any of you that are close enough for it to be feasible for a night out.

Proof the show ring is still screwing things up.

If you understand cutability verses grade it makes sense that a packer would pay a good bonus for this type of carcass. Cutability makes packers way, way more money than higher grading cattle. Sometime put your pencil to the issue for fun it makes it simple to understand.

    Pelton wide load-Red Angus bull

I went and found the video and it maybe just me but I thought he moved a little hard off of his back wheels. Other than that I liked the bull. Interesting that he is a half sib to Mann Red Box 55C.   Any thoughts about the U2 Renown bull?

Using an 18 month old bull

Give him a little TLC and he'll get back in shape. Using these higher performance cattle is going to take more feed. They have to eat more feed to grow more. Feed intake reduction and high growth are antagonistic traits for sure. Take a look at the Angus $EN values for the high growth bulls. You...

    Ringworm Around Heifers Eye

I would have to agree that if you are in a hurry to get it healed up that some of the things that people do will probably help that, but you just cannot beat the Fulvison. One and done instead on scraping and oiling and Fluid Film or whatever daily treatments people subscribe to. Honestly to...

    Ringworm Around Heifers Eye

I never did use it as a prevenative. I'm tighter than bark on a tree!! I did use just one treatment more than one time. You could use to get it very easily. Now it has to have a vet's prescription. It is used for something in horses. Not sure what.

    Here I am

I think that Wade is exactly right about kind of cow he would work best on. He's thick and a little tighter made, larger framed than most of the clubby's. Just like all of em, he'll need the right type of cow and there are a lot of cows running around that need him! Meaning they are too small IMO.

To early for Denver Display Bulls?

Anyone that was out in Denver care to share their thoughts about what they saw? What was the name of the Red Angus bull that someone threw up please?

    Here I am

I've seen him a couple of times and I really like him. He's not a small bull for a clubbie bred bull. Gretcha Some was there at the same time and I personally preferred HIA. JMO for what it's worth.

    Ringworm Around Heifers Eye

I am going to chime in on this one knowing that I will almost certainly regret it after I get done. First of all ringworm is caused by a fungus. Itf you know that it is a fungus yes you can kill a fungus topically but as with humans if you are having some type of fungal issues whether it be...
