A great sale with wonderful support from the entire state of Iowa! Many records broke with the grand steer bringing 45,000. I didn't get the other prices but if I recall the lamb and hog also set records. Nice job to all.

From what I understand, it is possible to remove the carrier gene and replace it (gene slicing) but greatly reduces the risk of survivability. I have often wandered, if you own the animal, do you legally own the DNA? What keeps someone from gathering dna in the tie outs at 3 am?

Last time I knew an older fella was doing it based in SE Iowa... if I recall he charged 8-10 per animal depending on number of head. 

I stood second one year because the judge said the heifer didn't have enough "panache" (not even sure if that is a word).... But, I show in 2 days, so I am sure I will hear several!!!
