    monopolys full brother th free!

A close friend of mine has been using All Aboard on all his THC cows and Monopoly on most of his THF cows. I have seen 20 to 25 of his All Aboard's and they look exactly the same as the Monopoly's as long as you get the hair genes to come out. One of the biggest reasons I would say you don't...

    Exile

Well I can only speculate, but by his genetics I would say his calves should follow close to his sire. I would say 85lbs to 95lbs on average, but like most every other shorthorn sire they can through a big one.

    Exile

Mark, My screen pic is that Fringe x Sin City heifer that I started a topic on shortly after she was born with her baby calf pic. She is moderate, stout, powerful, and a real ground sow type.

    Exile

Well he was bred by Chad Carlson ''MILLPOND'', which is one of the best shorthorn showsteer producing breeders in the county.Exile is probably the bull that has got the most potenial of being a true showsteer sire since the early part of last decade. If you have clean cows give him a shot.

    Asterisk free shorthorn

I would have to go with KA'BA Double Leader. We have been using this bull on heifers with great success and you don't seem to loose any quality and matches up well with many of the popular genetics of today. I know he's old school but shorthorn breeder don't have the options they had a decade...

    Our first Fringe calf!!

Here are a few updated pics of our Fringe heifer at a year old. She is unclipped in the pics and was just started on beet pulp for the first time one week ago today. I really like the functionality of these type of cattle. This may not be one of the all time best show heifers but she has alot to...

    Enough Time for Shag?

It depends on the calf. We have fed it for on a 60 day time spread for the last 3 years and for the most part if the calf had hair as a baby it will work in time. Shag is recommended to be fed for 90 days to be most effective. In our experience it takes about 35 to 40 days to really start seeing...

    Fringe calves

Coming along extremely good. Tons of bone, really deep bodied, extremely stout - going to be moderate framed but not too small. Calves have a lot of Ron Martin's KA'BA Rose DL's type and kind. Seem to display a lot of Ron Martin's cow type.

Here are a few pics of Fringe calves at Joel Brooks. I took these off of Joel's website. And the last one is an old pic of our best Fringe Heifer shortly after she was born.

    JM Joe Davinci

I called Jeff Connell today and he said that the bull has manageable BW's, and said he doesn't recommend using him on heifers. He said the bull has alot of rib-shape, is super sound, and is really easy doing.

Thanks for the info Mark, I figured the BW could be a little inconsistent, do to the genetics. I just thought that it was neat to see a Cunia son with Vortec and Rodeo Drive without any Trump in the bloodlines. Seems to be a little old school genetics and I think that should really help the breed.
