Get him on some Stabilized Rice Bran, granules not pellets. Top dress about 1/4lb on his usual ration at each feeding. As his appetite increases, gradually increase the SRB to 1lb per day. The SRB is very palatable & tastey. To finish him, increase SRB to 2lb/day ADM Healthy Glo is the best!

I am dead serious. So many of these "breeding heifers" today are just puds with lots hair! Thus, so much worry about breeding, specifically searching for calving ease bulls. What a joke!  Smaller, lighter heifer calves grow out to be progressively harder calving. That should stir up the bee hive.

I'm sick and tired of all these frame 4-5 Market Heifers showing as Breeding stock!  It's about time we get back to breeding for those feminine 7 frame heifers which we don't have to worry about calving ease bulls. That's my two cents!

I'm not sure that guy with this ration knows the difference in soy beans and pork n beans, but I've heard he has several hundred who have called to say how well it's workin' Lots of tweaks due to access/lack of ingredients. But, don't skimp on the mineral!

Somewhat depends in how long you want that Cow to produce. About 60 days gives the cow time to repair.
