I went....believe I heard they had 230+ head.  They were expecting 500 or so it what we were told-so they were way down in numbers.  Some good quality cattle there on the top ends...the AOB was champ and Maine reserve judged by Paul Maulbsy(spelling).

ARB are papered american cattle....and the ABCs are crosses that must "classify" as an American Cross. 

Just getting some information here....I have a Power Plus heifer AIed to Ali....the due date is 7/26.  I know most places say calves can come up to 10day early, etc.  Do ALi's generally come on time or early?  Any experiences are appreciated!

What Maine-Anjou bull will add a shot of frame to their offspring.  I have a purebred  BK PowerPlus female that I am looking to breed and want to add a little bit of frame.  She's a small framed female...about a 5 frame score.  Any suggestions are appreciated!

What do you folks generally find works best for electrict fencing....3 strands, 4 strands, more?  I plan on using this as a "let out pen" for some show calves.  Any information is greatly appreciated.

Ok-so what are all of you fellas out there using on your Ali heifers?  I have a Ali heifer on a PB Charolais cow.  Was thinking maybe Who Made Who or possibly back to Ali...any thoughts or ideas?-all are appreciated!

I just clipped 3 calves today for my cousins...and the way I've prevented the lines is I used the big Oyster clippers to slick them and then used smaller oyster clippers to touch up and get rid of the lines.  I also use the smaller clippers on the head and in the creases (ears, brisket area...

The steer came from Tommy Meeks....he is from Seguin-which is about 20minutes from Nixon. 

Looking at the pictures on ShowChampions...I  really like the charolias, maine, and the simbrah steer.  Will be interesting to see how the AOBs and ABCs go tomorrow.  Good Luck to all of the exhibitors!

Just looked over Barron Photografix pics of the show....the judge sure did pick lots of colored calves.  Or at least more than normal IMO.  The pics of the Grand are pretty nice.  Looks like a pretty complete calf.  I'm glad a colored calf finally won too-I am partial to colored cattle.
