Lautner's sire catalog with the 2011 bulls

after reviewing the video, i was slightly disappointed. he's not super cool but he might work on the prettier type cows. he seemed functional and stout and besides from some tentative steps at the beginning seemed to move fairly well. I do like that he is a half blood maine though, adds maybe a...

Lautner's sire catalog with the 2011 bulls

to quote the pirates of the caribbean movies, "the bw info is more like a guideline anyways." It's almost like you draw numbers out of a hat because there are no way those calves are that light when they are that powerful. i kinda wondered if unstoppable was maybe an uglier bull that didn't...

Lautner's sire catalog with the 2011 bulls

what does everyone think of the unstoppable bull? he looks pretty stout to me and it's nice to see that different photo angle.

    what cow to use

ditto. i have noticed that our easy going recips may catch better than the stubborn ones. then again that is probably just coincidence but i don't think it hurts.

    Dejavu

we had a bull out of a who cow a few years ago. her calves don't get real big and he wasn't an exception. he was the tightest gutted calf she has had but he was pretty stout and expressive from behind. pretty fuzzy too but so was the other calves out of that cow. he did some good things but...

    Best red club calf bull.

never said he wasn't. i quickly compared him and his situation to crimson tide who is red. i had heard crimson tide died. maybe i heard wrong. anyways that comparison is useless then.

i'm gonna guess that some of those were taken from a helicopter.

    Heatwave daughters

try something purebred angus for the first one. The heatwave females tend to have decent calves when bred to something like a purebred. ali works fairly well. the heatwaves start getting real crossed up so throwing some high percent something adds a little consistency.

    My Turn x Heatseeker

you might get a head start on the hair and either start brushing now or shear her cause she's hairy lol. the my turns i have dealt with take a long time to get the good workable hair partly because it's so thick. she looks good though.

Where do you buy your semen?

since the select sires truck fills the nitrogen tank so we get some semen from them since they deliver but we tend to pick up some when top sires delivers to the expo. we have dealt with other companies and didn't have bad experiences with them just like top sires a little more.

    Lautners PowerHouse Bull..

saw a hairless wonder out of him lol. it was a red heifer. made and designed well just no hair, not a lot of guts, not real stout, not real big. kinda hard to describe her really. she wasn't narrow, light muscled, or gutless. just a heifer. i don't really know how to describe her other than...

    cloning cows

not trying to start a fight or stoke any fire but i thought the aging process was when cells died at a faster rate than they were being created/dividing? i understand the idea of dna splitting but as long as the animal is growing it should still be creating cells. i would imagine it would age...

    Slick Shearing show cattle

we didn't do it in the past but we will continue now. started doing it a couple years ago and the hair came back just as well with less wave/curl in wavy haired ones and the really coarse haired ones came back softer. i shear in march and heifers normally come in from the bull around may/june...

ohio best, clark county cattle battle

you get stalled as you come normally. they won't reserve anymore. i believe you have to buy a card and the tack stall before you can claim a spot. normally there are a enough stalls for steers on sunday especially with heifers moving out saturday after the show. good facilities though.

    draggin shag

in my opinion i think he has too much bone/fitted hair to consider him well balanced. I know he's pretty chubby looking too but i think he would look better if it was toned down just a touch. he looks fuzzy in the baby pictures he is in but looks to have a lot of natural circumference of bone in...

    Hairy bear Heifer

we have a hairy bear out of a wazn't me x hairietta that will have her first calf this spring. Definitely see a lot of similarities between the two including color pattern. I would expect yours to continue to grow as ours is showing some good size for a first calf heifer. she's got a little...

    Best TH Free clubby bull?

who made who is the best th free club calf bull. dr. who is a good bet too, both can throw steers and heifers but the heifers are probably better as a whole. stands alone and one and only both looked awfully good as young bulls. we had a friction steer one year, he was okay. wasn't all that...
