Is there any chance it could be broken??? I've seen one that did what your describing while being hauled in a trailer. He broke a front leg. Believe it or not, he did heal when left in a small confined pen....went on to win breed champion even! Go Figure. I'd have put him down for sure if...
Forgot to mention to watch the aspirin as you can cause ulcers. Use Probios or yogurt to help keep the gut healthy. Banamine if given more than 2-3 times can blow their gut too!
We've shown hogs a long time and joint issues are by far the hardest to work with. If it just delveloped overnight, it's an injury not PPLO etc (usually see this on rear hocks anyways). I would give a long acting antibiotic (Naxcel or Exceed work great in swine) and it never hurts to use DMSO...
We had never shown to Rash or watched him judge....At first I hated how he walked back and forth and never looked at the cattle he was talking about. It kinda reminded me of watching kids practicing their judging reasons at a contest. ;) But, I have to say, when "I" looked at them and...
I thought the Limi's were VERY good this year...so I wouldn't be disappointed with your placings. The top half of the classes were tough to get around.
We stood 5th and 6th with both steers and I wasn't disappointed. We had a brangus and a simmi. There were 11 in the class. They are both...

Even steel toed boots won't save you every time. My hubbie got his stepped on while we were loading for San Antonio and it broke 2 of them...even wearing the steek toed boots. The difference is that without the boots, he would be minus 2 toes. When those calves get bigger they can do more...
We showed a heifer and 2 steers. It seemed to me that the steer numbers were down slightly from last year. We were in the main barn and had an almost empty aisle across from us. It was full last year. This was our first year to show heifers, do don't know how it compared to last year. ...
Possibly looking for a good registered simmi heifer in TEXAS (Would love to consider something outside TX but gas and hauling is too expensive right now). Anyone have one under $1200?
Here are a couple of pics of the steer for sale. I finally found the tutorial that shows you how to post pics...thanks to whoever posted that! It made it easy. They aren't the greatest pictures in the world and don't do him justice. The front view gives you an idea of bone--he's got good...
This guy is SUPER GENTLE...would be GREAT for a first time shower. He's halter broke, leads, loads, ties, stands quietly for blower and rinsing---has good hair. He's ready to go. Just had hooves trimmed. Still a bit green but has potential. He's a late October/Nov calf, weighs approx. ...
It's not a name brand one--but works the same. We have 2, are getting an aluminum one, and don't need 3 chutes. Works great. Steel, has wheels front and rear, and folds down. Has seen lots of use, but in good overall condition. Would make a nice first chute for a family just getting started...
Really nice Paul platform scales for sale. These were totally reconditioned and are in great shape. Can weigh pigs, goats, lambs, or cattle. Weighs 100-2000 lbs. Manual Weighbar and weights included. These would be awesome for a family just getting started or someone that shows both large and...
Have a chest type Sullivan's Medium steel showbox for sale. In very good condition. It has some light rusting (superficial only) on interior bottom. We've upgraded to an upright dolly box....and don't need this one. $125. Located in Central Texas. Email [email protected] if interested.
We're looking for a really good American steer prospect....anyone in Texas have one? Don't really want an ABC, would prefer Simbrah, Gert, Brangus, etc... You can email pics, info, and pricing info to [email protected]
