I do not have a problem with competition, peoples opinions......and for that matter I salivate over competition and use others opinions to gain knowledge or to understand that persons lack of it.  Because a person has an opinion does not mean that I have to agree or disagree.........but to watch...

While standing up by the gate of a show, overheard the breeder of a heifer that was in the ring, yelling for another heifer (not raised by them) to win over a heifer that was sold by them, with their prefix attached.  Now, immaturity was probably the overriding factor in this response, as well...

Never Tried it, but seems to me you could drill a hole as a refill location and use a rubber plug.  May need a funnel to fill tho

Have to agree with DLD.  The show supply mats are pretty nice.  We ordered one and it didn't come in in time for our last show.  Needed  a 22 footer so I rolled up a 5/16 thick 4' wide belt we use for the wash rack at home.  Thought I tore a hernia trying to load it, but it DID NOT shift around...

Thanks for the kind words about my two!  We ended up putting four out of the five from our sting in the top ten in % or PB.  Kids did pretty good!  Exceeded my already lofty expectations.  I would like to send a huge congrats out to all the competitors, ESP the Show Me kids!

We dropped the cage system and shoot the air across the string.  When possible we try to have one starter fan to begin pushing the air, then two at the stall panel, then possibly another one or two depending on the size of the heifers at the end of the five head.  Sr yearlings need a BIT more...

Considered him.  Still fishing though.  We will see about the show.  Ball season is going strong right now.  Not sure our girls will be ready.  Maybe one of these days they will be. 

LN - thank you.  First thoughts were to try to avoid DO or at least get him down the line a bit.  Herd is, i know this may sound crazy, kind of heavy with DO lineage. There are some younger bulls out there but....  They are just that, younger.  Thank you again.

Have a Mo Better female that is built a little more terminally than I would like. Great muscle expression and decent width.  She is clean fronted and has a wonderful udder.  Looking for a bull to breed her to that would add a more maternal phenotype to the calf.  She is is a mid to low 5 frame...

Thank you for the pic.  Any idea on BW and age of cow she is out of?  His numbers decreased but that does not always indicate real life issues that people have/will experience.  She is a sow for sure!
