    The Creature Calves

Mark, we were talking the other day too about the absence of Young Money or any of his calves. Not even seeing any of his females really in production either. A close friend leased him for a summer and he was a great bull, not a pud and had great feet and legs. Promotion seems to be the biggest...

    Maternal Made

We've only had a couple.  They were pretty good disposition wise.  I like all of the calves we've had and I would have to say that they will follow the cow as far as the dispositions go.

Poll Qustion - Top 10 Best Current Club Calf Bulls

My list goes like this and I only put Monopoly down a ways because he can through not so great rear ends on one and he'll throw a pud too. 1. Fu Man Chu - Awesome hip and leg structure especially for a Monopoly son.  Throws some frame on one and has some performance 2. Here I am - needs to go...

    SULL Revolution

He changed a lot once he was up nursing. I’ve got a pick of him still in the sack, he looks a lot smaller. Also caught the birth on the barn cam. He came easy, but recip was a 1500 lb chi-Maine cow

    SULL Revolution

We slung him right after he was born at 78.  The blue he’s out of usually has heavy calves too, but she’s a very easy keeper. On ET her others have been 80-85.

    SULL Revolution

Only had one embryo put in out of that mating, looks like several more for next year.  He was born at 287 days gestation and was 78 lbs.  He has taken off, the recip he is on is a great milker and almost always weans our biggest calves.  These are all first day photos

    Bulls on Heifefs

Jose works good on i80. We’ve had a couple and they are good structured, hairy and have a little performance to them. They are not Little most around 80 lbs, but built right to come out. Schroeder’s have a new bull that was picked up by Executive and will be available through Cattle Visions, Top...

    New Simmental Bulls

Boone Pickens should be really good, should start seeing his calves coming soon. Lock and Load out of Optimus Prime and the 74T Knockout. I also like the bulls out of Wernings 8543 Dream Catcher cow too.

    Here I am

CAB, just curious about his body depth and spring of rib.  All the one's I have seen seem to follow the mother in regards to center of body.  I know he has Full Flush in his pedigree and they have a tendency to be tubular shaped.  Wade's recommendation was deep bodied Angus cows.

    Hammertime

Just had our first Hammertime calf out of a Maximus cow.  The pictures are at 3 days.  Really like him, stout, hairy and built right.  Birthweight was 81 lbs.

Where have all the readers/posters gone?

I enjoy the site and the posts.  I try to check at least once a day to see what new and interesting topics people are posting about. I do however, dislike the drama and bickering, enough of that crap at work.  I try to post stuff I think others would want to know or see.  If I see that no one...

    Bull question

I think it really depends on the cow, but I think Fu Man Chu is probably the best clubby bull overall right now; however, he’s expensive now since he’s now deceased. There are some sons that are pretty good too. I like the Fu805 bull and Risk it for the Biscuit is making some good ones early...

LOW Birth Weight Sire Suggestions for First Time Heifer

I’d get a hold of Gargan, he owns the Red Revolver bull. He may do exactly what you want. He’ll be honest with you and you can read several of the threads on here too. Semen is pretty available and inexpensive.

LOW Birth Weight Sire Suggestions for First Time Heifer

If you can get a hold of it, Winegardner's Dual Threat bull would do all of that.  They make good steers and heifers.  He is an I-80 out of a WDM x ACE.

    Market hiefer weights

I'd have to agree with Tallcool1, the Eye Candy's are notorious for petering out about 1050 to 1100 as market steers.  Feed her hard and consistently and you should be able to make it.

    Fu Man Chu is dead

For a clubby he was kinda old at 6 almost 7. Will be interesting to see if he gets cloned. Several good sons on the market now too.  Hopefully Wade has a pretty big bank of semen, I’m sure he’ll continue to be popular as he’s probably the best all around clubby bull available.

    Fu Man Chu is dead

Rodgers posted on their blog yesterday that Fu Man Chu had to be put down due to some digestive problems.  They are raising the price to $60.

Some of W/C Red Revolver's first calves

Pretty impressive bull, love the mature video.  Seems like there are a lot of full sibs to him, but he seems to be maintaining his soundness as he ages.  I hope the lease goes well for you guys too, going to the right herd could really help his sales.  Great pedigree for real world functionality...
