Seems to me that if I buy a calf in Iowa next fall, he will be delivered to the Iowa state line by the seller or it will be a"no sale". If the right people get burned by that maybe changes will occur. And I thought Illinois was screwed up.....

Heard yesterday that one of Todd Caldwell's guys got pulled over in Iowa in a pickup pulling a gooseneck. The story is he got $1800 dollars in fines for hauling two steers. This just reinforces the meaning of I O W A----- I.... Oughta.... Went.... Around

We priced tickets for $240 Peoria IL. Three of us will drive for around $400 for gas. We'll be there Friday- Sunday.

The one I used was 2 cinches and a breast strap??? The cinches were small and connected by a nylon dog collar on each side .The breast strap hooked to the cinches. It sounds bad but it really worked well.

If they're smaller frame cows try a couple straws of Salty Dog. Three of the hairiest,stoutest caives I saw this fall were Salty's, I hear they want you to stick to a small frame b\c of his size.

I took my son to it also, and I totally agree. John Sullivan and his crew did a great job on this program. I would recommend it to anyone and any level of experience. The top fitters in the business were there and willing to answer any question.

I've used several different things with no favorite. Most work well with persistence. You need to treat twice a day - everyday- until it's gone. Then use A&D ointment or something in that order to keep skin moist to help hair regrowth. Just remember - nothing works well while in the container.

I farm land that has been in my family for 6 generations. My grandfather bought "off" calves and hogs and fed them out for years. As the oldest grandson I was his "hired man " until he died . Some shows need to take pointers from Badger Kickoff.  The grounds and barns are nice- the people running it where all nice - the steer judge I thought was exceptional , he took time and sorted thru all the calves regardless of who tailed it into the ring- he let the smaller kids who where...

It's hard enough to raise kids these days. I'm sure Cowgirl94's parents are proud of her ,as they should be.  Sounds to me like she's thinking ahead  and planning her future.
