We live in Kentuky and show at a lot of county fairs. I have never been to a show with a requirement for min. ADG. However our hometown fair does have a contest for ADG but no min. is required.
They recently added maket heifers to the show at the Kentucky State Fair and they preg check all of those heifers. I agree about having to slaughter heifers, but if I got that nice sale of champions check I'm pretty sure I could be ok with it.
