any time i pour calves that are going to be shown in a somewhat short amount of time, i always pour, let i sit a day or at least over night then rinse it out the next morning, then soap it out really good that night. some wormers can "burn" hair off where it is left on too long

What i did when i showed was rinse when a day got warm enough to do it, then the other days i would spray him kleen sheen and just blow and blow and blow. keeps the skin and hair clean and moisturized and helps get rid of the dead skin the accumulates.

How harsh are your winters? The winter regimen for here in Wisconsin i would imagine is way different than down in OK or TX. Even more so if you dont have a heated show barn.

all of my dirty hairy's have been puppy dogs and i've heard the same from others. also i dont know when you start breaking but i find if you start working with calves when they are like 2-3 months old the are a little more mellow and easier to break.

with anything char influenced or even the odd colored shorthorn i find it best to try to save their own hair from when you clip them at home. just stick it in a bag then you have the perfect color matched building material.

depends on the age of the calf, the amount of hair, the time of year, etc, but i would say it cuts blower time by at least 30-40%. another huge plus, in my opinion, is that the force of the extra blower is much better at getting the hair trained and also getting the dead skin and other crud up...

the twin blower setup is the biggest time saver in showing. i have a hard time going back to using a single blower after using the double blower, but i have bigger hands and dont have a problem manipulating the larger hose.

they fixed this, we had to take ours in to get something fixed(cant remember what it was) and they fixed the touchy transmission somehow. dont know if it was a shop fix or a recall type situation though
