This is only from the videos but that lot 62 baldy SOS heifer looks like one heck of a cow prospect and id say a person could get some miles out of her in the low simmi deal. Also the lot 51 hannibal intrigues me as a clubby breeding piece and she would sure show competitively as well.

i agree with the other posters on blow and go shows about the importance of training the hair before hand. I find it silly that most people who don't want to learn how to fit just scream for blow and gos when in fact, the kids whose calves are maxed out will 9 times out of 10 have better trained...

If you didn't have the cooler shag, how can you say you had "as good of hair on show day"? I think you are merely marginalizing the other calves' hair coats to make your calves coat better in your mind because what you posted about the hair coats just doesn't make sense.

been through the calves, really nice set of heifers and unlike most places their best days are ahead of them. that grizzly heifer sure has potential to be something special.

Yeah, it sounds to me like they are putting all these little things in the contract that way they have a better chance of finding a way to say they won't pay you and then have a signed contract to back them up. this is what we used for a while in addition to the one sullivan mat we won at a jr national.. they actually work great but were just a hair short. so you had to move them around a little bit but we found them for like $4-5 a piece used.

on slicker haired cattle i dont use them except for fitting legs because i feel the regular tooth combs cant work through the glue very well. but for everything else i use the fluffer or skip tooth like justin said. I like the plastic ones for working hair but wont use them for fitting because...

we are looking at a bull who is a yellowish char color. what i am wondering is this a indicator that they have the red gene or that they will throw a higher percentage of certain colored cattle. advice from anyone with some experience in this area would be greatly appreciated.
