i would think if you used a thicker zip tie and cinched it down where you wanted the halter to stop slipping, it would probably stop it from loosening up to much. never tried it but i would think that would work and then you could still cut it off if you would have the normal halter again.

whoops, misread the website. thought it said he was out of who's turn. didnt realize that was the name of the steer. he looks like he is a flat good one.

corn oil is a cheap way to add some cover. just like 1/4-1/2 a cup to start so they to get runny on you then you can start working them up. we usually gave all of our steers corn oil like the last month or so.

bump, we are only about an hour and a half from the sw wisconsin sales that end the weekend of the 19th and about 20 minutes from Geffert's.

here is another heifer we have for sale, i just got her pictured today. she is a Sunseeker out of a pb angus cow that is flat out good. she is a march and we would probably be able to get Chi papers on her. super gentle and her hair is coming along well. pm for more info.

here is another one i got pictured today. he is a mid april dirty hairy x (wmw x pb char). super disposition with quite a bit of potential as a fat steer. again, a little younger but he is getting better every day. pm for info.

also the heifer is th/pha free by pedigree. we will also be taking cattle to the World Beef Expo at the end of this month so if someone came and liked something we could work out a deposit or full payment then leave them at our place and get them ready for that show. just an another option.

now entered in the Minnesota Beef Expo Sale. so she is off the market until then. i will post new pictures closer to sale time.

imo maverick wasnt even the best bull at the GVC sale. i liked the lot 30 bull personally, maybe not quite as stout but a much more complete package.

i also like the fact that you arent def after clipping out some legs when you use the 2 speeds. i already can hardly breath through my nose when im done after a long day of fitting so i like being able to hear. having four sheepsheads rolling at once at a chute will leave your ears ringing for a...
