Just bought a Silencer. We have a large cowherd and a bull development facility. The Silencer was the best fit.

A friend of mine in North Dakota had a hairless calf born last spring, said it developed completely normal other than being hairless. He doesn't know why it happened either. BTW, I love that you are calling it Smeagol!

Just one so far yesterday. A 60 lb heifer calf. That thing had the most vigor I've seen in a newborn calf...mean as spit!

I freeze brand too and have been for years using dry ice and alcohol. I prefer freeze brands because of readability and less pain for the cattle. We are still working on our technique but get better every year. I'll have to go take a pic. It's amusing to read everyone's take on it because...

I've used Beef Maker quite a bit and he is the real deal. My first daughters of his calved this past September and all had improved udders over their mothers' and raised good calves. The bull calves are very nice too.

In Dew Time would work to add a more maternal look.

I've had a couple lose their CIDRs but I go ahead and give the lut shot anyway. They still get bred.

I think you'll be ok. VERY uncool of your supplier not to deliver semen on time!
