I was looking into show heifers for this show season and found a heifer that was born without a  tail. She appears to be totally  normal apart from this. I was wondering if this is seen often? And if other problems may be associated? Thanks in advance

In my experience clipping a steer differs none from clipping a heifer.

I would play it safe and cut. We do show wethers as well as show steers. Heals a lot faster.

In my mind this is the exact definition of overkill. Knowing that every other kid only has a steer that is at most $5000, there is no point for them to spend all that money. This is the prime example of "buying a championship".

This past year I had a buck kid that was born with his front left leg born sideways. To make it even worse on that foot he had three toes instead of the normal two.

Price ranges all the way from a couple hundred into several thousands depending on where and when you buy your goat. You could get a decently competitive wether for around the $1,000 range. There are several good breeders in Texas: Blue Team Wethers 7t7 Livestock Fleming Livestock Gallagher...

I am looking for show steers for this upcoming show season. I have found a few steers that I may be interested in that are sired by MAB. I was wondering if anyone knew of any problems in his calves that presented themselves later on? Such as maybe structural issues? Thanks
