    Bull bloated

Is it chronic?  What kind of feed do you have him on? Are you supplementing him? Just keep him moving.

    Bull bloated

That can depend on how quickly it was caught. The big thing is get him up and moving. It will help his digestive system. If you can get baking soda in him then that will help dispel the gas. Also get some probiotics in him too.

    Bull bloated

Get him up and get him moving! If you have therobloat or mineral oil then get that in him.

    Hottest Club Calf Bull

I second Monopoly and his clones. Look at all the sons of Monopoly that are making a name for themselves too. MAB, Hi Ho Silver, etc.

They didn't get bred. We weaned inSept weannd the bull was taken out Sept 1st

    Using Lute

We saw both heifers two years ago get rode as calves that fall. We gave a shot of lute about 3 to 5 days later. Neither calved in the following spring. Neither also got bred by the bull as yearlings and were declared open by a vet. This last fall, we saw another heifer calf being rode by the...

    Using Lute

I hope you all are right and both got rode at night because we're checking ever 2 hrs from 5:30am until 8:00pm to see who is cycling and writing it down. When we check were checking for rubbed out tail hair and mud on the hips that coincide with being rode. It has been really muddy here.

    Using Lute

Thanks again. I'm just scratching my head and the only common denominator amongst the 4 heifers (two from two years ago and the two in question now) is they all got a shot of lute around 3 to 5 days after possibility getting bred as a calf. We'll preg check these two in Sept and hopefully...

    Using Lute

So have you ever given lute and Dex to a 6 monthish calf and then had her get bred the following spring?

    Using Lute

We have not preg checked the heifer yet. We gave the lute to the one heifer right after she was covered by the bull. We also come to think of it, gave lute to another heifer as a calf last fall because we expected the bull covered her. Neither have been ridden by the bull that we have seen. The...

    Using Lute

Last fall, we saw a heifer calf get bred by the bull so we gave her a shot of lute. Now that she's a yearling and in with the heifer bull, she won't cycle and does not appear to have been rode. Twice before, we luted a heifer for the same reason and both heifers never bred up as a yearling. Did...

Good bull for a simmie angus heifer

IMO, I would consider No Worries or Daddy's Money over I-80.  I-80 has had some pretty good heifers but his steers lack in power and bone.  You have a pretty nice heifer.  She looks sound and her feet all point in the same direction.  Looks like she is good enough fronted too.  I would even...

Daddy's Money, No Worries, I-67, Last Stand, I-80, Ali, Rumor Mill, Jose, After Hours, Dirty Harry, Jesse James, gosh the list goes on and on. Now some would work for first calf heifers in a lot of programs but not all programs.

    Breeding suggestion.

We just need to Stouten and moderate. Our cow is soft enough and deep enough. She's got a lot of bone and foot size too.

    Cow Talk

I've seen some Meyer daughters and grand daughters still getting it done in the clubby world even after age 12.

    Breeding suggestion.

I think we are going to try Business Done Right. We tried Italian Stallion, I67, Young Money and Final Cut. The results ended up being the same. We figured after much thought and debate that a moderate southern type bull just might work on this one particular cow. Now if she'll just stick AI.

    Cow Talk

After discussing the Bull Talk it got me thinking of what genetic lines have the longevity, productive, milking ability, breed back ability, etc etc. Any and all breeds. I'm talking about lines that have stood the test of time and not from a bull that just burst into the scene a year ago...

    Bull Talk

I would definitely keep No Worries daughters generally speaking.
