For what its worth Derek Jungels says they are making excellent cows.  Probably has one of the larger sets of JPJ daighters out there.  Milk good with small teats according to Derek.

37 cows in 100 days.. man that's just super duper.. Our RA bull as a virgin sired 150 calves in 365 days, this last group of heifers that are about to finish up--  29 of the 35 heifers calved within the first 3 weeks... That means he covered 29 heifers in 21 days, and all 35 of them in say 5-6...

Those bulls will cover the cows our bull as a yearling covered 37 cows in 100 days.  He was tired when we brought him in but he did his job.  Covered over 40 cows and heifers this year. I wonder what some of the bulls that showed on the hill would have scanned for IMF fat and back fat on them...

There are more I will give that, however many aren't as visible as Jungels are.  Also you need the numbers of bulls like are at Jungels for the breed to gain commercial acceptance.  JMHO.  

I was through the bulls in Katheryn yesterday and they are an awesome set of bulls from the front of the catalog to the back.  Wouldn't say there was a bad bull there some are just very very very powerfull!!!  If bulls like them were the norm in shorthorn breed rather than the exception...

This kid is and always has been very humble.  I had the privilidge of knowing him when he was a youngester coming to our farm to ride his grandfathers horse that he kept here.  Never dreamed that he would go on to achieve so much in life and be a national hero.  I am thankful for heros like him...
