Heifer not holding head up when in the chute and set up
Agree with @TexasRedsAndShorties I just used cake for my lazy heifer a few years back it worked pretty well.

Feeding advice
if your heifers are younger I would highly recommend Precon that's what I use on my Angus heifers to start.

Triplets calves
Not sure on that one. Ive had a few freemartin heifers that were fertile so it could be true. According to my vet 90% of twin heifers are fertile

Does Corn 'Burn Hair Off' Cattle?
The only thing I can think is that corn supposedly makes them warmer, which would in turn make them shed. But I feed corn in my ration and it doesn't cause a problem.
