    i have a couple of units of alger in my tank. his son crestomere alger sired some good cattle for us in the early 70's. some of the best cattle i have ever seen were buff 3/4 charolais 1/4 shorthorn. the half bloods were good too.

    you need to put both on a high roughage (beet pulp) high fat (rice bran and corn oil with cooked corn) diet to get more volume in them.

    i would add a cup of rice bran, a cup of corn oil and a pint of cooked corn to his feed twice a  day and increase his beet pulp to 2 lb twice a day. increase his feed to 25 lbs a day. if you don't do this he will get too big and not enough volume. if he gets to fat turn him out a week to two...

    calves out of Daddy's Money

    As small framed smooth and correct as he was in Denver he should be easy calving. Bulls 2 classes younger were bigger. He is a very good bull but not very big for his age.
