How do you inseminate with old semen: Amps?

Would the Heifer Plus work with amps? Because of the increased volume of the ampules; the amount of the Heifer Plus is made for the volume of semen in a straw.

How do you inseminate with old semen: Amps?

Wow, do I hate answering this question cause it shows my age, but here goes.......... the old amp contained several cc's of semen so that is way, way more than a straw.  We used a "pipette" and a syringe with a rubber connector that would draw the semen up out of the amp into this pipette which...

    Problem with a new baby

We have had  this a couple of times in many years of calving and over thousands of births.  Simply, there is just a bit of the navel opening that did not seal off like it normailly does; the intestine just needs to be put back up inside the calf's abdomen and the hole sewn shut and all will be...

    Fulnky Back Legs?

We had a heifer calf born this a.m. sired by Sunseeker and out of a Monsoon cow (Maine).  She is up and toddling around but walks on her back hooves + pasterns.  Like really really flat footed, but on inspection, there is not fliexibility in the pastern joint so it seems the joint is fused so...

    www.edjecast.com

We did buy a bull in one of the sales at Denver; we were on the phone with a field rep and we also were on the internet.  The internet is a great tool but we would never trust it to actually bid over it; there are too many variables....there maybe a delay in the sound and/or picture; the...
