    Hi, we live in Florence MS. Did you get your daddy a calf? If not let me know. My boys show angus cattle but my 6yr old has a bottle calf she is 12 weeks old and he would not dare part with hre. But I would be glad to keep my eyes and ears open for him one.

    Angus wise I like S A V Brilliance and TC Stockman 365  We have two show heifers out of TC Stockman 365 that are nice and we are using S A V Brilliance this year

    We had a steer last year that was the same way my son worked him everyday and we took him to our fair my husband had to drag him in the barn the next day he was fine. We learned to walk our calves to water! Dont leave water out then lead her to the water it helps alot. Good Luck

    She is a little hereford heifer and she weighs about 68 lbs I am feeding her save a calf milk 2qts in the am and 2qrts in the pm.     questions about cooking corn and feeding it? thanks ahead of time!

    I used a crock pot and did 1/3 corn 2/3 water and just a little corn oil to help not stick I cooked on high 8 hours I feed it twice a day so i always had it cooking I used a timer at night on mine so it would cook 8 hrs.

    I would say an Angus heifer. My son shows Angus and they have great programs for y'all. not sure where you are from but your local Jr Angus or Angus Association will probably be glad to help you.

    Fitters??

    I have a 10 yr old son that shows angus cattle. He does all the daily care of his heifers. At the shows the farm we bought our heifers from will come help him clip and fit them. I see nothing wrong with this because there is no way my 10 yr old can clip and fit on his own and be competitive.
