On a 2 game losing streak!  Dang injury hurt me in the last one.  I gambled a little on some of the bigger games and put high confidence in them.  Hopefully I can get lucky some more.

Can't Argue with you at all on that comment!  I did put alot of thought into my picks though.  Getting very lucky on my upsets.  I guess sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!   ;D

Mom and Dad took all the old (some were 32 years old) 8mm films and had 2 DVD's made.  It sure was amazing to relive a little bit of my childhood.  I also got an Ipod Touch.  Can't beat those memories!

I'm very proud to say, No I haven't!  When I tell my students this they laugh and call me a liar.  It really bothers me that this is accepted by today's youth as being no big deal.

Sorry also......... My reply should have said, I agree with you.  The more genetics (variables) you throw into the mix, the more genetic variations you can expect.  I couldn't agree with you more.  I guess that's why the 3 way cross bulls are more often than not a "crap shoot".

I don't think I implied that any of the cows were ever 3 way crosses.  I mention angus cross (half blood?).......some clubby bulls  as the one in this case are over 5/8 Maine (which would make it basically a 3 way cross).  Sorry for not being specific enough.

I've had best luck with any of the Angus crosses. Haven't found a consistant bull yet.  Have bred the same cow to the same clubby bull 3 years in row 3 totally different calves....... 2 good one bad.

There's usually a club calf sale at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds sometime in November.  Is there going to be one this year?  When?

I'll trade luck with you!  The last 3 years (with the goal of selling show steers).............. 10 out of 13 calves each year have been heifers!

Congrats!  Had a backwards calf last May.  Neighbor called me when I got home at 5pm and said the cow had been pushing since noon but wasn't sure if she should worry.  Took me about an hour and a half to get mom to the barn & calf out assuming the entire time the calf was dead.  He didn't show...
